Security and Policing 2026

The recent Security & Policing 2026 proved to be an incredibly valuable and rewarding event for us at MAV Systems, bringing together law enforcement and security professionals from across the globe for several days of meaningful discussion, innovation, and collaboration.

From start to finish, we were proud to showcase the strength and depth of our ANPR portfolio, demonstrating how our technology supports the optimisation of modern police and security systems. Our stand remained one of the busiest throughout the event, reflecting the growing demand for intelligent, accurate, and adaptable enforcement solutions.

ANPR innovations

A key focus for us was highlighting our latest innovations, including MAVAiQ and MAVMobile, both of which generated significant interest from international delegates. These solutions, alongside our pioneering GhostPlate™, AiAccurate™, and PlatePath™ technologies, demonstrated how ANPR performance continues to evolve, delivering greater accuracy, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced capabilities to tackle increasingly complex challenges.

The global nature of the event was clear in every conversation. We engaged with representatives from across Europe and beyond, while also strengthening relationships with UK police forces and security specialists. These discussions not only reinforced the universal need for reliable and high-performing ANPR systems but also opened the door to new partnerships and future collaborations.

Finalists due to the importance of GhostPlate™ technology

A particular highlight for us was being named a finalist in the innovation awards hosted by ADS Group Ltd. This recognition, driven by our GhostPlate™ technology, underlined the importance of addressing the growing issue of manipulated or cloaked licence plates, something that continues to present real-world risks to enforcement and public safety.

Above all, the event reinforced why we do what we do. The conversations we had and the insights we gained made it clear that expectations for ANPR technology are rising, and rightly so. We are proud to be at the forefront of that evolution, supporting agencies around the world in improving safety, strengthening security, and delivering more effective enforcement outcomes.

To everyone who visited us, shared their challenges, and explored our solutions; thank you. We look forward to continuing those conversations and building on the momentum generated at Security & Policing 2026.

Redefining the Role of Mobile ANPR in Road Safety

MAV Systems Limited today announces the global launch of MAV Mobile, an advanced mobile ANPR solution designed to address one of the world’s most persistent road safety challenges: the movement of illegal, unsafe, and non-compliant vehicles through everyday road networks.

Across the world, vehicles operating without valid registration, inspection, or insurance contribute to increased collision risk, criminal mobility, and reduced public confidence in enforcement. MAV Mobile has been developed to help authorities move from reactive enforcement to proactive risk reduction, using intelligent technology to improve safety outcomes rather than simply increasing penalties. Embedded with Ai-based recognition capabilities enables the support of Mobile ANPR requirements in 150+ countries.

MAV Mobile enables enforcement teams to operate where risk actually exists; in neighbourhoods, commercial areas, transit corridors, and urban environments that static systems cannot reach. Its flexible, mobile design supports temporary, covert, or targeted operations, allowing agencies to respond rapidly to emerging threats and changing traffic patterns.

Central to the system’s world-wide value is the integration of GhostPlate™ and AiAccurate™ technology. These innovations ensure consistent, high-precision identification even in challenging conditions or when deliberate evasion is attempted. By combining multi-read AI validation with Ghost Plate detection, MAV Mobile helps ensure that enforcement actions are accurate and immediate, supporting fairness for compliant road users and improving safety for all.

Beyond enforcement, MAV Mobile delivers meaningful data that supports safer roads at scale. Vehicle behaviour analysis, movement patterns, and compliance trends enable authorities to better understand risk, allocate resources intelligently, and support long-term road safety strategies. Simple set-up and efficient vehicle transfer, along with in-car or BOF management, provides multiple operational advantages.

“MAV Mobile is not just a product, it is a tool for change,” commented Andy Humphries, Managing Director at MAV Systems. “By helping authorities identify risk earlier and act smarter, MAV Mobile contributes to safer roads, stronger compliance, and greater public confidence worldwide.”

As road safety challenges continue to grow globally, MAV Mobile sets a new benchmark for how mobile ANPR technology can be used responsibly, effectively, and at scale, helping to protect communities and support safer mobility for all.

PRESS RELEASE

Amsterdam, 16 January 2026

Nominees Intertraffic Awards 2026 announced – pioneering mobility innovations

Fifteen pioneering mobility innovations have been announced as finalists for the Intertraffic Awards 2026, showcasing breakthrough solutions in three categories: the Green Globe Award, recognising environmental sustainability; User Experience Award, championing excellence in usability; and Inspiration Award, for groundbreaking new technologies set to lead the industry. The three overall award winners will be announced at the opening ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 on 10 March 2026. The four-day long event, closing on 13 March, will see around 30,000 mobility professionals from over 140 countries gather to explore the future of smart, safe and sustainable mobility. Taking place at RAI Amsterdam, this year’s event represents the most comprehensive edition to date, featuring 900 exhibitors across 12 halls, more than 300 expert-led sessions, and dedicated zones for emerging technologies.

The industry experts who make up the Intertraffic Awards Jury spent many hours deliberating over the entries to this year’s awards, with each jury member applying individual scores before the entire panel came together to debate the merits of each innovation, eventually whittling the entries down to the final 15 mobility solutions from solution providers worldwide, the international nature of entries demonstrating the global reach of innovation in the sector.

“The judging process for the Intertraffic Awards has always been fascinating, and this year was no different,” says Jury member Tom Stone, editor of Intertraffic World magazine. “Although the jury panel is made up of industry experts, there are always some innovations that surprise us by bringing completely new technology and solutions to the table that we had previously been unaware of. The high-quality of entries makes picking just five in each category a challenge. But after much debate we’ve done it, and now all look forward to the final judging in Amsterdam.”
