Introduction

MAV Systems is delighted to share highlights from a successful visit to Australia and New Zealand as part of The Traffic Group’s global engagement programme. With Managing Director Andy Humphries joining forces with Jonathan Brook and supported throughout by AGD Australasia, the tour aligned with the ITS Australia Summit and provided valuable opportunities to meet partners, integrators, and transport authorities across both countries.

Showcasing TTG Innovation Across Australia

The journey began with extensive meetings across Australia, where Andy and Jonathan engaged with a diverse range of ITS operators, police forces, and system developers. The discussions centred on the revolutionary MAV AiQ and the broader Traffic Group technology portfolio, showcasing how these intelligent solutions can enhance safety, efficiency, and performance across multiple ITS applications. The flexibility and customisation capabilities of MAV AiQ proved especially compelling, with attendees eager to explore how advanced ANPR features could optimise their existing and future systems.

At the ITS Australia Summit, the team presented The Traffic Group’s integrated traffic-technology offerings alongside AGD Australasia, demonstrating the strengths of a unified ecosystem that includes ANPR, detection, signalling, and data intelligence. Feedback from industry specialists, government representatives, and long-standing customers highlighted deep appreciation for the quality, innovation, and end-user benefits that underpin every TTG product.

Strengthening ITS Partnerships in Australasia

The tour continued with further partnership meetings in Sydney and an onward visit to New Zealand, where the team met additional ITS organisations to discuss system-evolution opportunities. These conversations underscored the growing demand for intelligent, scalable, and secure technologies capable of supporting the regions’ transport and safety objectives. The strong interest across both countries in The Traffic Group’s full portfolio—spanning Law Enforcement, ITS, Smart Cities, Parking and Traffic Enforcement—reinforced the value of continued collaboration and technological leadership.

The visit to AGD Australasia’s offices marked an important milestone, providing an opportunity to see first-hand the exceptional work being done to support customers across the region. Their growth and expertise have positioned them perfectly to deliver the full capabilities of The Traffic Group at scale, strengthening partnerships and driving innovation throughout Australasia.

Looking Ahead to ITS Growth

As the tour concluded, the MAV Systems team expressed gratitude to AGD Australasia for their hospitality and to all partners, new and existing, who welcomed the chance to explore future collaboration. With strong foundations now in place and growing interest across the region, 2026 promises to be a landmark year for international ITS development within The Traffic Group.

MAV Systems looks forward to returning soon and to continuing its support for transport networks across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.

MAV Systems Strengthens International Collaboration on ITS Delegation

  • News

2 Nov, 2025

Introduction

MAV Systems was proud to take part in the Intelligent Transport Systems UK delegation tour, an extraordinary opportunity to connect with transport authorities and ITS leaders across Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. Representing MAV Systems, Helen Garrett joined fellow delegates to explore current and future ITS strategies, identify opportunities for technological collaboration, and highlight how advanced ANPR solutions can support the development of safer, more efficient transport networks throughout the region.

ANPR Opportunities Across Latvia and Estonia

The tour began in Riga, where discussions with ITS Latvia, the Ministry of Transport, and Riga City Council members provided valuable insight into Latvian priorities across highways, border security, ports, and wider ITS infrastructure. These conversations helped identify clear opportunities for MAV’s ANPR technology to enhance citizen safety, strengthen operational efficiency, and support long-term system optimisation. The engagement in Riga led to several promising connections that underscore the country’s forward-thinking approach to traffic management and innovation.

The delegation then continued to Tallinn, where ITS Estonia hosted visits to the National Metrology Institute and the Applied Research Centre. Presentations from Estonian experts offered an in-depth understanding of both near-term and long-term ITS objectives. In response, MAV Systems was able to outline how its market-leading ANPR portfolio can contribute to infrastructure evolution, improve road-user safety, and support data-driven system management. The enthusiasm and knowledge shared by Estonia’s ITS community reinforced the nation’s reputation as a driver of technological progress.

Expanding ANPR Collaboration Across Finland

The journey proceeded to Finland, where ITS Finland arranged an extensive programme showcasing the country’s commitment to advanced mobility solutions. A visit to Kempower highlighted exciting opportunities for MAV’s BayiQ technology to support international EV charging developments, while a tour of the Vuosaari Harbour facilities provided insight into logistics systems and tunnel infrastructure where ANPR can add further value. The delegation also visited the British Embassy in Helsinki and attended the ITS Finland Autumn Seminar, engaging with more than 150 delegates to discuss Finland’s evolving ITS landscape and explore future collaboration.

Throughout the tour, Helen Garrett was able to identify numerous opportunities to support enhanced safety, efficiency, and reliability across ITS applications in all three countries. Equally significant were the strong professional relationships and new friendships built along the way, forming a foundation for long-term cooperation in international ITS development.

Thanks to Our ITS Partners

MAV Systems would like to extend sincere thanks to Intelligent Transport Systems UK for organising the tour, and to ITS Latvia, ITS Estonia, and ITS Finland for their warm hospitality and exceptional programme of events. We look forward to continuing our work with these partners and contributing to the advancement of global ITS solutions.

1 Nov, 2025

Introduction

MAV Systems was delighted to exhibit at the Smart City Expo World Congress alongside our sister company, AGD Systems, in collaboration with our partners at Silicon Highway. The event provided a powerful platform to demonstrate our next-generation ANPR technologies—including the MAV AiQ and BayiQ—which continue to redefine what is possible within intelligent transportation, parking, enforcement, and Smart City applications.

Growing Demand for MAV ANPR

Throughout the exhibition, traffic-technology specialists and system operators from across the world showed exceptional interest in our evolving product portfolio. Demonstrations of MAV AiQ and BayiQ were in high demand, with attendees eager to understand the depth of intelligence, performance, and optimisation potential offered by these advanced ANPR solutions. Discussions ranged from integration possibilities and system customisation to opportunities for improving efficiency, accuracy, and data generation across international transport networks.

As global demand for secure, high-performance ANPR technology increases, visitors were particularly interested in how MAV’s hardware and software advancements support wider system resilience. Our ISO and Cyber Security certifications reinforced our commitment to delivering secure and reliable technology capable of underpinning critical infrastructure at scale.

Strengthening Partnerships and Showcasing ANPR Innovation

One of the highlights of the event was welcoming Deepu Talla, VP and General Manager at NVIDIA, to our stand. As an essential technology partner in the development of our newest ANPR innovations, NVIDIA’s collaboration continues to elevate the capabilities and performance standards of the MAV product range. Strengthening this partnership will further accelerate our ability to deliver world-leading solutions.

Across the exhibition, the MAV AiQ and BayiQ repeatedly proved to be standout attractions, demonstrating how far ANPR intelligence has progressed—and how much more efficient, accurate, and reliable future Smart City systems can become when built on a superior technological foundation. The level of engagement, the volume of enquiries, and the number of new partnerships formed made the event a tremendous success for MAV Systems and AGD Systems alike.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Collaboration

We extend our sincere thanks to Silicon Highway and NVIDIA for their invaluable collaboration, and to Andy Humphries, Chris Shepherd, and Jonathan Brook for representing MAV Systems with such expertise and enthusiasm. We look forward to continuing the many conversations initiated at the event and to building long-lasting partnerships focused on optimised traffic-system performance worldwide.
