Introduction

MAV Systems is delighted to reflect on an outstanding three days at the Security & Policing Event 2025 — an exhibition that proved to be one of our busiest, most productive, and most internationally connected to date. From the moment the doors opened on day one, our team engaged in wide-ranging discussions with long-standing partners, system integrators, and representatives from police forces across both the UK and the USA. We were also proud to take to the Spotlight Stage to present the powerful advantages that MAV AiQ brings to law-enforcement operations worldwide. Interest was further amplified by our position as finalists in the ADS Security & Policing Innovation Awards 2025, helping spotlight the innovation behind our latest ANPR technologies.

AiQ Draws Worldwide Interest

Momentum only increased on the second day. The MAV AiQ customisable ANPR camera drew exceptional attention from international delegations, with visitors arriving from Ukraine, Australia, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Chile, Austria, the United States, Guernsey, Dubai, and Latvia. These conversations reinforced the global demand for adaptable, high-performance ANPR solutions and demonstrated how strongly MAV AiQ resonates with modern policing and security challenges. The day also included productive discussions with US military leaders and an invitation to join a restricted Home Office AI briefing, highlighting the strategic relevance of our technology within the wider security landscape.

The final day brought another wave of visitors, valuable customer meetings, and fresh international opportunities. The MAV AiQ remained a focal point of interest, drawing more attention than any product we have showcased in recent years. Our discussions with the Home Office reaffirmed that our technological roadmap aligns closely with the evolving needs of both UK and global ANPR markets. Reaching the final of the ADS Security & Policing Innovation Awards was a proud achievement, and we extend our congratulations to all fellow finalists.

Strong Praise Across All Three Days

Across all three days, the feedback on our products — particularly MAV AiQ — was exceptional. Attendees consistently praised its efficiency, flexibility, and ability to meet diverse operational requirements across policing, security, and critical-infrastructure environments. The enthusiasm and engagement from visitors have laid the groundwork for new partnerships, system developments, and collaborative opportunities in the months ahead.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to meet with us. We look forward to continuing these conversations and are already excited for what Security & Policing 2026 will bring.

MAV AiQ Spotlight: Intelligent ANPR

We are pleased to share that ITS International Magazine has featured MAV Systems in a recent interview exploring how the newly launched MAV AiQ Advanced ANPR Camera is redefining what’s possible in intelligent transportation and enforcement technology.

In the discussion, Chris Shepherd explains how the AiQ stands out in an increasingly competitive market by offering true customisation, enabling system developers to tailor features to specific regions, regulations and operational sectors. This flexible approach ensures that each deployment is optimised for its environment—whether for law enforcement, traffic management, parking, border security or wider smart-city applications.

GhostPlate™ Detection by MAV AiQ

A key focus of the interview is the growing problem of ‘Ghost Plates’—manipulated number plates designed to evade recognition. With millions of such vehicles now circulating globally, this issue poses a significant challenge for safety, compliance and enforcement systems.

The MAV AiQ directly addresses this with our newly developed GhostPlate™ technology, a major breakthrough that allows operators to identify and respond to these previously untraceable vehicles. This innovation strengthens the integrity of ANPR data and provides agencies with the tools they need to tackle this escalating problem.

Advancing ANPR Innovation

The feature highlights how MAV continues to push the boundaries of ANPR capability—combining adaptability, advanced analytics and sector-specific tools to help partners build safer, more efficient road networks.
