GhostPlate™ is MAV’s proprietary anti-spoofing and authenticity detection technology, developed to counter the growing threat of cloned, altered, or counterfeit number plates.

How it works

MAV AiQ technology works to combat “ghost plates” by using advanced AI to analyse and cross-reference multiple data streams, including both colour and infrared (IR) images, to detect inconsistencies that indicate a vehicle plate has been altered to evade detection. While ghost plates use modifications like reflective sprays, translucent films, or physical alterations to make themselves unreadable to standard Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, MAV AiQ can identify these tampered plates by comparing what it sees in normal light versus IR light, and through enhanced Ai video analytics.
